Your shingles are supposed to stay put. So what happens when they start coming loose?
On this roof, the top layer of shingles is no longer holding securely. When shingles lose their adhesion, they can lift, move, and become more vulnerable to wind and weather.
This can be especially concerning on roofs with multiple layers, where the top layer may not be properly bonded to the roof below. Once that layer starts letting go, the roof loses some of the protection it was designed to provide.
Loose or lifted shingles are a warning sign worth paying attention to. They may indicate that your roof is reaching the end of its life.
Not sure if your shingles are still holding strong? Have your roof inspected before the next storm puts them to the test.
