What happens when a section of roofing hasn’t provided enough protection from water?
During this church roof project, our PM shows an area that previously had architectural shingles but developed significant rot underneath. Once the damaged section was opened up, our crew removed the affected material and replaced it with new plywood sheets.
With the damaged area rebuilt, the next step is to install a PVC roofing material designed to provide a more effective water-management layer for this section of the roof.
This is why a roof replacement is about more than simply installing new material over the top. Once the existing roofing is removed, the condition of the underlying materials can tell an important part of the story.
