What’s wrong with this pipe flashing?
Our team explains the problem: you can see the top of the steel pipe through the flashing cap.
The pipe needs to be cut down far enough for the cap to properly cover the opening. If it’s left too high, water can get in where it isn’t supposed to.
The solution is to cut the pipe down and make sure the flashing is properly covering the area to help keep water out of the roofing system.
