There are some weekends in the Pacific Northwest that make it especially easy to appreciate where we live.
This year’s Sequim Lavender Festival was one of them.
Integrity Roofing & Construction was proud to sponsor the festival and spend the weekend surrounded by lavender fields, local businesses, artisans, families, visitors, and plenty of sunshine. The 30th annual festival took place July 17 through 19, 2026, bringing people together throughout Sequim for a weekend centered around the area’s lavender farms and local community.
Community involvement is a big part of what matters to our company, and events like this are a chance to support the businesses, farms, organizations, and people that make the area special.
A Weekend Built Around More Than Lavender
If you have never experienced Sequim during lavender season, it’s difficult to explain just how different the area feels.
The Sequim-Dungeness Valley comes alive in July. Lavender fields stretch across the valley, the Olympic Mountains provide the backdrop, and farms throughout the area open their doors to visitors.Â
The festival itself adds another layer to the experience.
The 2026 event included live music, more than 200 artisan vendors, food, and community activities. Visitors could spend part of the weekend at the Festival in the Park and then head out to explore individual lavender farms around Sequim.
That combination is part of what makes the event feel so distinctly local. It’s not just one festival venue where everyone gathers for a few hours. The entire community gets involved.
Farms have their own events and activities. Local makers sell their work. Restaurants and businesses welcome visitors. Families make a weekend out of it.
And for a community-focused company, that is exactly the kind of event worth supporting.

The lavender industry has become a major part of the area’s identity and tourism economy. According to the Sequim Lavender Experience, local lavender farms began developing more than 20 years ago as farmers recognized that Sequim’s unique rain-shadow climate created ideal conditions for growing lavender. Today, numerous farms across the Sequim-Dungeness Valley welcome visitors during the growing season.
That growth did not happen overnight.
It came from local farmers, small businesses, families, and organizations building something together.

The Beauty of Sequim in The Summer
There is a reason people travel to Sequim specifically to see the lavender fields in bloom.
Peak bloom typically occurs around mid-July, which lines up perfectly with the festival weekend. The fields transition from green to vibrant purple, and the combination of lavender, sunshine, farmland, and mountain views makes for one of the most recognizable summer scenes in the region.
This year’s timing delivered. And the lavender is still blooming!
The weather made it easy to spend the day outside, whether that meant walking through the festival, visiting farms, browsing vendor booths, listening to music, or simply taking in the scenery.
And there is something nice about an event that encourages people to slow down.
You can walk through a lavender field. Stop at a farm shop. Talk to a local maker. Grab something to eat. Take way too many pictures of the same row of flowers.
Then do it again at the next farm.
The Sequim Lavender Trail even provides a driving and cycling guide for visitors who want to build their own route through the valley. The trail can be explored by car or bike, making it easy to turn the festival into a full day of exploring the area.
More Than a Weekend for Visitors
While the festival is a major summer attraction, Sequim’s lavender season extends well beyond one weekend.
The Sequim Lavender Trail notes that the farms are generally open throughout the summer, with many operating beyond the peak bloom period. Lavender-related workshops, demonstrations, crafting opportunities, live entertainment, and other events continue throughout July and August.
That means the festival does not have to be your only reason to visit.
If you prefer a quieter experience, visiting the farms outside the busiest festival weekend can be a completely different experience. Midweek visits or trips later in the summer can offer a slower pace while still giving visitors the chance to explore the farms and shops.
For locals, that is worth remembering.
You do not have to wait until the next festival to enjoy what Sequim has to offer.

And do not forget to leave some room in the schedule for wandering.
