Most of the time, our work is focused on homes. Roofs, repairs, replacements, and helping homeowners make the right decisions for their property.
But every now and then, there’s something bigger than the day-to-day work.
This year, our team at Integrity Roofing & Construction is taking part in Obliteride, and it’s not just about the ride itself. It’s about being part of something that brings people together for a real purpose. It’s a community-driven effort to help fund cancer research through Fred Hutch Cancer Center.
Riders, walkers, and teams come together each year in Seattle to raise money that directly supports advancements in cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and cures.
Where the Money Goes and Why It Matters
The event supports the work being done at Fred Hutch Cancer Center.
What makes Obliteride stand out is how the funding works.
Because the event is supported by sponsors, the money raised by riders and teams goes directly toward research efforts. That means donations are not diluted by event overhead. They are helping fund studies, clinical trials, and the kind of work that leads to long-term progress.

Why We Chose to Ride
As a company, we spend a lot of time working in the communities around us. We meet homeowners, families, and people going through all kinds of life situations.
Cancer touches a lot of those stories.
For some, this ride is personal. For others, it is about showing up and supporting something that matters to the people we work with every day.
Some participants are walking. Some are riding 25 miles. Some are pushing further. All of us are involved for the same reason.

Obliteride itself takes place in Seattle, with routes ranging from 25 to 100 miles, along with a 5K walk or run.
But the event is really about what happens leading up to it.
Teams spend time fundraising, reaching out to their networks, and building support. It becomes a shared effort, not just an individual challenge.
It’s not just about crossing the finish line. It is about contributing to something that continues long after the ride is over.
